Candlelight concerts in Adelaide: Halloween at St Peter’s Cathedral

Halloween in Adelaide will sound different by candlelight at St Peter’s Cathedral, where Amicus Strings is set to perform beneath the Gothic Revival arches.

The North Adelaide concert pairs classical chills, including Saint-Saëns’ Danse Macabre and Mussorgsky’s Night on Bald Mountain, with familiar film and television themes.

Music from Psycho, Halloween, Beetlejuice and The Addams Family sits alongside the more playful Thriller and Ghostbusters.

Rather than jump scares, the appeal is hearing those familiar tunes played up close in a striking setting.

The performance runs for 60 minutes, with doors opening 30 minutes beforehand and no late entry permitted.

Seats are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis within each ticket zone.

Children must be at least eight, and those under 16 need an accompanying adult.

The cathedral is listed as wheelchair accessible, though the programme may change.

Check available sessions when booking.
